Hi all! I’m Marie, and I’m a full-time mom with 3 kids. I live in a gorgeous house in the suburbs, and the well being of my little family is my priority. Because of this, I have actively scouted around the Internet and brick-and-mortar stores to find the best possible water filters for my home. Although the area that I live in is really gorgeous, especially in spring, with all the lovely flowers blooming, the quality of the water leaves much to be desired. So I have to filter all our water to ensure that we don’t ingest toxic material.
What Do I Use and Why?
I use a faucet-mount water filter for my kitchen sink, as well as a whole-house water filtration system for all the water that runs through the pipes of my house. I believe this double water filtering system will definitely keep unwanted gunk at bay, because water coming into my house is filtered, and our drinking water is filtered once again at the kitchen sink for ultimate protection.
This system also helps our faucet water filter last longer because most of the larger particles had been already filtered out by our trusty whole house water filter! We get clean, pure water for drinking as well as for washing, showering and cleaning.

The first thing I think you need to decide is what kind of water filtration system you should get, be it a faucet-mounted type, undersink type, a whole-house water filtration system or something else. Then, shop around and look for water filters of that type that fall within your budget. I’ve included some water filter reviews on my website which might help you get started with your search.
Check the specifications of the water filter you wish to buy. Check:
a) how long you can use it before having to replace the filter
b) how fine the filtration system is (down to how many microns)
c) what it filters out and what it doesn’t

g) whether it’s ISO accredited
h) reviews online for ease-of-use and durability
